ABBEY ROAD FLOGGING SOME OLD GEAR
Written on 24/7/10 19:09

The Studio iii piano was used on The Beatles tracks `Paperback Writer`, `Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da` and `Tomorrow Never Knows` as well as being used on the Pink Floyd track ‘Wish You Were Here’ will be sold at auction soon and is expected to sell for around $300000. The Challen upright piano was used in Abbey road studios in London between 1964 and 1980.

When sold the piano will be another piece of music history auctioned of the adoring fans, similar to Jimi Hendrix’s legendary burnt Stratocaster that fetched $280000 in 2008.

Unlike the alleged Elvis Presley autopsy instruments that were removed from an auction in Chicago due to staff at the Memphis embalming morgue claimed the knives had also been used for hundreds of other autopsy’s since.
