| ROCK PORN |

One Saturday night 1973 I was sitting over a pint at the Sussex Arms in Tunbridge Wells, waiting for something interesting to happen (as was the thing to do around then) One of my mates said there was a party going on and it would be rude of us not to attend …an hour later we pulled up outside a house with the most amazing sound escaping from it. This turned out to be the latest album from Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon). On that day I discovered the porn of rock... Prog rock and was impassioned for life. Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis and the mighty ELP, the list goes on, I had to have them all! I referred to Prog as the “porn of rock” because as time has passed I’ve been made to feel guilty from friends, colleges and bands that I’ve worked with. But now our friends at the post office have vindicated my passion by bringing out stamps with art work from some of my most worshiped album covers. Enabling us to get a little fix when opening the mail! Anyway…now I’ve finally come out, maybe you can help us here at Blasst by letting us know about any new Prog or other rock bands that have sneaked under the radar or if you are in such a band please send us ya stuff. Thanks ;-) Ed |
